Lin Fengmian 林风眠(1900-1991) Lin Fengmian (1900-1992) was originally named Feng Ming, a native of Mei County, Guangdong. Born into a family of stonemasons, he went to Shanghai at the age of 18. In 1919, he went to France to study with Xu Beihong and Zhang Daoyu.
