Wu Guanzhong (1919-2010), Yixing, Jiangsu. In 1942, he graduated from Hangzhou National Art College. After studying in France from 1946 to 1950, he returned to China and taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University, Beijing Art College, and Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. He inherited the teacher Lin Fengmian fusion center's proposition, tried to combine Western modern art with Chinese spirit, devoted himself to the exploration of oil painting nationalization and modernization of Chinese painting, and perseveredly practiced the creation of "nationalization of oil painting" and "modernization of Chinese painting". The concept has formed a distinct artistic feature; he persistently watched the true feelings of "in the motherland, in his hometown, in his homeland, in his heart", expressing the aesthetic needs of the nation and the public, and his works have a high cultural character. . His ink paintings are based on the white walls and black tiles of Jiangnan, and the green willow safflower.
